Cruising Right Along

Because rain was forecast for Monday, the crew worked on Sunday. Turned out it did not rain on Monday so they worked today as well. Things are really moving now. The main floor framing is almost finished. The felt paper is on the roof so the roof just needs to be shingled. By the end of the week, we should have windows and siding. We are currently picking out our exterior paint colors. We have our stone picked out. The builder's crew also began framing the basement today. The outside will be about done by the end of the week! The house photo included in this entry has the same stone we will be using on our house.

No Rain Today!

The crew made a great deal of progress today. They put up more of the roof framing. All the outside walls are up and the window holes are cut out. They put wrap on the basement wall. Looks like we will see windows this week and hopefully, a finished roof.

June 20

A few more of the outer walls were put up. The crew started work on the ceiling and roof. If all goes well, the roof, windows and walls will be finished by the end of the week. More rain is in the forecast for tomorrow, but the rest of the week looks good.

Not Much Else

It rained Friday morning, and the crew did not work on Saturday so all that got done was a bit more of the interior framing, and the crew started putting up the outside walls. Rain is in the forecast next week so we are hoping it comes in the evening so the crew can finish the outside and the roof. They should begin framing the basement next week.

June 16 Update

We walked through the house again today. Most of the garage is now framed. All the closets except the Master on the main floor are framed. My pantry is framed. Fun to see how big it is. The laundry room is framed and Savana and Alaric's bedrooms.

They poured the concrete in the basement so the plumbing is finished. Can't wait to see what tomorrow brings.

Plumbing

The plumber finished the preliminary plumbing today. It is interesting to see what it all looks like during the building stages. I have never seen this process before.

We Have Walls!

Today was exciting! Finally, the progress is visible. We were able to walk around and actually see rooms and the house layout. There are blue lines on the sub floor marking walls. It makes it much easier to actually visualize the house.
