Grrr! I forgot my camera yesterday.

At 10:00 a.m., there was no one on the job site yesterday. I went out later for a book club meeting and found that some work was done, but I forgot my camera, so I have no photos. The sub floor is down and the back wall is covered. I will have photos tonight. The preliminary plumbing was started as well yesterday. Hopefully, that will be finished today so they can pour the basement floor.

After Alaric's swim lessons this morning, we went past the house and there were actually 5 guys working. They should get a whole lot done today. It will actually start looking like a house!

These photos are from Monday.

Framing

On Saturday, a crew of two got the majority of the floor joists in place. We talked to the builder today, and he said that he is expecting a full crew tomorrow. He said the house should be ready for the roof at the end of the week. He had the siding crew lined up for next week. The plumber should be coming to do the preliminary work. Glen and I are going to look at stone for the outside of the house this week if we can make an appointment. We have to hope the weather will hold out so the framing can get done.

Starting to get Hopeful!

Finally, the support beam is in place. The framer is supposed to have a full crew tomorrow. It isn't supposed to rain. We should actually have some real progress tomorrow!

Back Wall

The progress is still very slow. Our builder was not happy with the crew. They only thing they got done this week was getting the back wall up. It is frustrating waiting to see some progress. They framing is halted until the floor beam is put in place. Waiting, waiting, waiting.

Framing Begins

Finally, last Friday, the crew began framing. The only thing they got done was the back wall of the house, but at least some progress was made.

Ready for the Foundation

Finally, a rain free day! Today's progress, framing supplies were delivered. The dirt pile has also been smoothed out to fill in the yard around the front of the house. By accident, we met the framer tonight. Savana was at soccer practice so Glen and I drove around town. We went to look at the other house our builder has under construction. The framer was up there. He said they would start on our house tomorrow!

A tremendous amount of progress should take place over the next few days! Please let the weather hold out.

Foundation

So the rain has held up construction. These photos were taken on May 31. The foundation was sealed, the sump pit put in and whole lot of dirt was dumped on the front of the lot.
